About This Vehicle
The Volvo P1800 is a classic sports coupe manufactured by Swedish automaker Volvo between 1961 and 1973. The car became a true icon of the automotive industry in the 1960s and is still considered one of Volvo's most famous models. Volvo successfully sold the 1800 series outside the Swedish car market, and the model quickly became popular due to its unique design and reliability. The car is also remarkable from a technical point of view, as its 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine provided good performance for its relatively light body, while not neglecting Volvo's famous safety and comfort-centric approach. Its reputation is further enhanced by the fact that, according to the Guinness Book of Records, this model holds the title of the world's most driven car. The record-breaking 1800S has clocked up 5.23 million km. The P1800 also played a significant role in culture, appearing in the famous TV series "The Saint" starring Roger Moore from 1961 to 1969. The character of the car was closely intertwined with the entertaining and elegant world of the series. The Volvo P1800 has become a true classic and is a sought-after model among collectors. The car came to us from Hawaii in beautiful condition. We replaced the interior upholstery and carpets. We replaced the automatic transmission with a factory Borg Warner four-speed transmission with overdrive. Under the hood was a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder Bosch fuel-injected engine that produced approximately 124 horsepower. While this did not make the car a rocket, the rear-wheel drive and manual transmission (with optional overdrive) offered a truly classic driving experience. The car is in excellent condition. It has never been damaged and does not need any bodywork or paintwork repairs. All interior components and surfaces are intact and in perfect condition. Mechanically perfect, no repairs needed. The transmission shifts smoothly, makes no noise, the engine does not emit blue or white smoke, and there is no rust on the car.
