The Jaguar XK8, internally designated as the X100, was the first generation of the Jaguar XK series. Production began in 1996 in Coventry, and the final unit rolled off the line in 2006. The XK series was conceived by Jaguar Cars as a quintessential luxury grand tourer, sharing its platform with the Aston Martin DB7. It was available in both two-door coupé and two-door convertible body styles. Powering the model was a new 4.0-liter DOHC V8 engine, a powerplant the marque continued to use across its lineup until 2012. Two years after production commenced, in 1998, Jaguar introduced the XKR — an enhanced variant equipped with a supercharger, which increased output to 358 horsepower and 505 Nm of torque. The car’s top speed was electronically limited to 250 km/h. The model underwent a facelift in 2002, and was ultimately succeeded by the X150-series XK in 2006. The exhibited model is an original condition, pre-facelift, supercharged Jaguar XKR Cabriolet from 2001. The overall condition of the vehicle is excellent. It looks and runs great. During the years every required repair has been completed on the car by experts, and it requires no further bodywork or paint corrections. All interior components, both leather and wood surfaces are intact and in perfect shape. The car is left-hand drive, has a manual gearbox and rear wheel drive system. It has 200,812 km, mechanically, the car is flawless no repairs are needed. The gearbox shifts smoothly without noise, the engine emits no blue or white smoke, and the body is entirely rust-free. The “XKR” designation refers specifically to the supercharged variants of the XK series, and the displayed vehicle represents the convertible version of that lineup.
